She will also be teaming up with Mr. Wisner in the middle school math program by teaching a 7th grade math class and 8th grade level algebra. Thank you, Pam, for applying your many talents.

Mrs. Johns is available for free math tutoring on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday afternoons from 3:15-4:00.

She is also involved in Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s youth group Bible Studies.  If any PCS middle school student would like to join a Wednesday night Bible study, you may contact her for more details.  Boys meet at PCS and girls meet at various locations.   All PCS middle school students are invited to Sunday night youth group at Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 6pm.  Students are also invited to Mrs. Johns’ home following Sunday night activities.

Math Class Goals:

1.  To prepare students for high school math

2.  To not overwhelm student with homework (call Mrs. Johns at home if it is taking too long)

3.  Good grades (be content with our best and strive for our best)

4.  Glorify God in all that we do (we are a team- building each other up and helping , not a competition)

*Students may be late with homework three times in a quarter without penalty, because things come up or students make mistakes.  All homework must be made up.  Parents will be called if there is a problem or if tutoring is recommended.

Science Fair Goals:

1.  Be able to write an excellent research paper before high school

2.  Learn the scientific method

3.  Give opportunities for success (regional/state science competitions, college scholarships)

4.  Not to overwhelm the student

*Students have a science fair notebook guide that contains due dates and instructions on how to do each step of the science fair process.  Parents and students may call Mrs. Johns with any questions.
